Proclamation, Exhibits, and Oktoberfest Events

Foley Sister Cities is marking the 70th anniversary of Sister Cities International this October with a month-long celebration centered around the theme, "Building Friendships: The Heartbeat of Peace". Highlighting Foley’s thriving partnership with Hennef, Germany, the festivities feature an official City Council proclamation on October 5, an interactive educational exhibit throughout October at the new Foley Community Library, and the inaugural Oktoberfest Golf Jamboree at GlenLakes Golf Club on October 23. While golf registration is sold out, $35 public tickets are available for the evening Oktoberfest event, which features authentic German food, drinks, and a live seven-piece German band to support local exchange programs and community initiatives.
